Digital Repository
Many universities are creating or exploring the creation of digital repositories or institutional repositories. These are online collections of digital files. It might include university publications, theses and dissertations or research articles published by faculty members. In most cases the library is the unit that is organizing the creation of these collections.
AHSL is going to join with the Main Library to explore options for a UA Digital Repository. A team has been formed at the Main Library to define Goals, Business Policies, Marketing, Functionality and Services. Robin Sewell is going to meet regularly with this team to insure that AHSL can play a role in this exciting experiment. Eventually almost everyone in the library may have a role to play in finding content, “cataloging” content, digitization or training. Robin will report back regularly on the progress of this project.
CatCard Access to the 1st floor door
As of today all AHSL faculty and staff will have 24/7 access through the “back door” on the first floor. Remember that we expect no one to be in the building when we are closed without prior consent of his or her supervisor.
