Security Cameras

Our new security camera system has been installed and is operational. There will be a demonstration of the system at our next All Staff meeting so that you can see the views from the cameras and the capabilities of the system. For the next several weeks we will be evaluating camera placement and coverage and other security issues. We will be adapting privacy policies from the Main Library to insure that the system is not abused. The goal of the system is to act as a deterrent and to help the UAPD apprehend any criminals who may be captured “on film”. Because of privacy concerns only a limited number of people will have access to the system and fewer will have the ability to review past recordings.
